About Cadet Corps Alliance

A boy-focused Scout program built around patrol teamwork, outdoor skills, service, advancement, and leadership.

What CCA is

Cadet Corps Alliance (CCA) is a boy-focused Scout program, following the time-honored traditions established by Lord Robert Baden-Powell of Gilwell, starting in 1907 on Brownsea Island in England. Cadet Corps Alliance is independently governed and operated. CCA is structured to meet World Federation of Independent Scouts (WFIS) guidelines for program methods, training, and handbook materials.

The eagle

CCA eagle

The eagle is a central CCA emblem. It appears in CCA insignia and publications as a symbol of courage, vigilance, freedom, and service.

The 12-point star

The 12-point gold star represents the 12 points of the Scout Law and the ideals of Scouting. The star and eagle may appear together or separately in CCA materials.

River Bone Ranch

River Bone Ranch is CCA’s private Scout camp on the Lampasas River. The property includes river frontage, a shallow beach, wooded banks, and an open meadow for outdoor activities, nature study, service, and camp life.

CCA operates under Public Enrichment & Robotics Laboratories, also known as RoboPerl or PERL. PERL is the parent nonprofit that processes CCA’s dedicated online PayPal payments and supports youth enrichment programs.

How CCA is organized

Local units may be sponsored by chartered organizations. Nearby units may work together through districts and councils, with optional area and region layers. A national alliance coordinates CCA within the country, and a global alliance may coordinate CCA groups across international boundaries.
